Security codes are used to ensure that a communication partner is human and not a robot. Use cases for security validations (often specified as CAPTCHAs) are web based applications that could be manipulated or abused by robots, e.g. online surveys and form based registration dialogs. Image 1 on the left shows an example for a security validation of the KUKA Exchange Portal registration dialog. In this case the sequence of letters "kb93m" consisting of characters and numbers has to be entered to successfully validate the security code. Image 2 shows the input box needed for the secuirty code validation that can be found in the registration form.
All security codes consist of numbers an characters and have to be entered without blanks or special characters.
