The registration is necessary to get your company and contact data. Furthermore you have to choose your personal password during the registration process. After your successful registration a new user account can be created. You only have to do this once.

To be able to login you need to have a valid user account with a unique personal password.

To get external access with KUKA applications from outside the KUKA corporate network a valid SSL certificate is indispensable.

Eighter by installing the desktop-client or using the browser based web-client.

The desktop-client application provides the full scope of working comfort and speed including parallel up-/download of multiple files and folders. Among other features search functionality, the history of each file and the configuration of e-mail notifications is available.

It needs to be installed on your local system.

The web-client runs within the browser. No installation or network configuration is needed.

Disadvantages: You have to verify a security code that is being sent via e-mail for every session. You have to select each file manually for up/download - folders cannot be selected.

Not recommended for frequent data exchange.

Using the SDV client requires an installation of the application on your local system.

KUKA internally the software is distributed by the IT department.

Outside KUKA the desktop-client establishes its own SSL-connection to the KUKA server. You may need to customize your corporate firewall settings. In this case please contact your system administrator.

Unless you do not use a direct internet connection (e.g. corporate network) you may need to setup your proxy server in the connection settings of KTP desktop-client or SDV. Your system administrator should be able to help you adjust these settings.

For the desktop-client's secure connection a SSL-certificate is used. It is usually valid for one year. Without valid certificate your account is invalid, too.

Your current personal certificate is already included in the installation file. Therefore you have to do is a installation (again).
